Center City University
Center City University is a public research university located in the city of Center City in Maryland. Founded in 1856, Center City University is one of the primary institutions of the University System of Maryland. With a total enrollment exceeding 32,000 students, CCU is the second largest university in the state (to the University of Maryland). It is a member of the Association of American Universities and a member of the Atlantic Coast Conference athletic league.
The CCU’s proximity to the nation’s capital has resulted in strong research partnerships with the Federal government. Many members of the faculty receive research funding and institutional support from agencies such as the National Institutes of Health, MEDUSA, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), CHESS, and the Department of Homeland Security.
